The album also ranges a little too much between different atmospheres and sounds. the highest moments are the most avant-garde / jazzy ones (the improvisations of the second and eighth tracks, amazing, between paul bley, cecil taylor and stravinsky), while the "robotics" sixth track or the samba with chromatisms of the fourth, not to mention embarrassing of other more ballad pop prog songs with epic and baroque references. the sounds have aged very badly and also some arrangement solutions (see the synthetic trombone slides of the first track!), perhaps for this reason the album could have focused more on the interplay and the acrobatic technique of the two musicians.
